La
Leche League International – The
premier resource for breastfeeding information.
Truly a pregnant/nursing mothers most important
resource. LLL provides mother-to-mother
encouragement, information and to all
mothers who want to breastfeed their
babies. You will find lots of information
on this site as well as a listing of
LLL meetings in your area! Attachment Parenting International – The
mission of Attachment Parenting International
(API) is to promote parenting practices
that create strong, healthy emotional
bonds between children and their parents.
These practices nurture and fulfill
a child's need for trust, empathy,
and affection, providing a lifelong
foundation for healthy, enduring relationships.
Through education, support, advocacy and
research, API seeks to strengthen families
and increase awareness of the importance
of secure attachment, ultimately helping
to reduce or prevent child abuse, behavioral
disorders, criminal acts and other serious
social problems.
Sustainable Living Association - The Rocky Mountain Sustainable Living Fair is a solution based, hands-on, family oriented event designed to educate people of all ages and backgrounds about Sustainable Living Practices, Renewable Energy, Environmental & Social Responsibility, Natural Health, Green Building, Alternative Vehicles, Organic Agriculture, Local Economies and more.
Belly Beginnings – Melissa is a Bradley Method® educator in the Denver area. The Bradley Method® teaches moms how to relax and work with their bodies; this is different than trying to distract from labor or ignore it. There is a huge focus on teaching dad or other coach how to help mom in labor. The goal is a natural birth—this is usually safest for mother and baby. It may be hard work, but is it possible and worth it! Bradley® classes cover being comfortable in pregnancy, exercise, nutrition, staying low risk, communication, relaxation and other tools for labor and birth, consumerism, breastfeeding, newborn care, parenting, and any concerns you have.

is still greeted by startled stares
in some places. But pick up

these “out-there” ideas,
thoughts, feelings, desires are shared

our toolboxes become empty, usually
corresponding to how tired or drained
we feel. Here’s a list

Parenting Classes in Colorado
Here’s an opportunity to check what’s in your parenting tool box, refine it, add new skills. I’ve written a bit about my experiences of going through a parenting class based on the book How to Talk So Kids Will Listen & Listen So Kids Will Talk. Attend the class lead by a person with an amazing understanding of the skill of communicating with children, a gentle soul and a huge heart. She is a close friend of mine and I highly recommend her class to anyone who is interested in gaining some insight, perspective and skills to help you along in this journey called parenthood. I believe you will learn something marvelous about you and your parenting abilities.
